HORSETAIL FALLS

Since Kathy, Melissa, Ann and Candy went rafting today, Matt, Justin and I decided to make a day hike up Horse Tail Falls. The falls sit on the edge of Desolation Valley, 20 miles west of Lake Tahoe. It seems like a million people hit this trail on the weekend, but only about 10 make it to the top. Proud to say we were part of that 10. Click here if you'd like to see other pictures! One week later a 26 year old Carmichael woman slipped while wading in the creek above the falls. The current quickly grabbed her and over the falls she went to her death.

THE HUTSON SPREAD!

Kind of reminds you of the lagoon on Gilligan's Island, huh? Actually it is the latest addition to the Hutson Ranch, who are friends, neighbors and business colleagues of ours. Their almost 2 1/2 acre ranch sits low in a small valley just North- west of our place. I rode the ol' bike over there today and snapped a few pictures of the place. Jeff and Tracy have water to spare for keeping the pond full and irrigating their property. Keeps everything green all year round. Click on this link for a panarama front view of the spread.
