THE CRAIG HOUSE

This is a picture of the Craig house in Monmouth, New Jersey from an early post card. John Craig one of my earliest "direct" ancestors arrived in New Jersey in 1685. This house by some accounts was built and owned by him, but without a doubt his son Archibald put it in his name in 1720. The house remained in the Craig family until 1943. It is now open to the public for tours because of it's role in the revolutionary war. You can read about the house on the John Craig family tree on this web site.
