JUST THAT FAST
Kathy and I were just on the East coast last month and while in Rhode Island, out of all the people we saw, only one was everyday. That of course was Nancy Dooley a very young, healthy 65 year old. Who could have thought she would no longer be with us so suddenly? Our thoughts and prayers go out to Uncle Bob, cousins, Jeff, Colleen and Scott for the loss of their wife and mother. The following is from the Providence Journal.
DOOLEY NANCY C (DONAHUE), 65, of Parker Street died Tuesday, September 18 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Leo P. Dooley. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (O'Neil) Donahue, she had lived in Lincoln for the past 32 years. Mrs. Dooley was a personnel secretary at Narragansett Electric Company for 15 years and later worked as an administrative assistant at Blackstone Falls, Central Falls for 5 years, retiring in 2006. She was a member of the Harbor Island Improvement Association. She was a communicant of St. Jude's Church, Lincoln and a member of the Women's Guild of the Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Colleen Crawley of Cumberland; two sons, Jeffrey R. Dooley of West Hartford, CT and Scott Dooley of Lincoln; one grandson, Joseph N. Dooley of West Hartford, CT; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 at 9 A.M. from BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Jude's Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call THURSDAY 5-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Dooley's memory to the American Heart Association, NE Affiliate, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688 would be appreciated.
