WALKING TO A BIRTHDAY PARTY

(June 26, 2010) After a couple of practice runs, I made my goal of walking from the Brown house in Newcastle, to the Valice house in Cool. So with plenty of water I left at 8:30 a.m. on my 18 plus or minus mile journey. Part of the route follows the old Mountain Quarries railroad grade across the "No Hands" bridge and then a trail up the mountain to Cool. This is also a portion of the Western States Trail where they hold the 100 mile race from Lake Tahoe to Auburn. Arrived at the Valice home just in time for Kylie's birthday party. TWO DOWN, ONE TO GO!

(June 6, 2010) With bribes, payoffs, cheating and other desperate means to get this one through high school, Ashley finally achieved the family goal of graduating high school. While graduating 512 out of 512 students, at least she got that piece of paper. Of course she, like her brother Sean are just practice for passing the real mentally challenged of the family, Danny. To celebrate her graduation, Ashley and 41 other students are traveling to Italy, France, England and Switzerland I think for two weeks and leave on the 11th. Click on photo for more pics! |

(June 3, 2010) Out of retirement for a month and working in Sacramento in a new building at 621 Capital Mall. (You can Google Earth it!)
