(July 23, 2012) Reno averages about 6 inches a year in rainfall and usually 0 inches in July and August. Once in a while a freak storm pattern can come in and destroy those averages as we got over an inch in this storm including 80 mile winds and some minor flooding. Rainbow is the aftermath. FIRE SEASON EARLY!

(July 3, 2012) Fire season is starting here way to early. Yesterday Kathy bringing Kayla and her friend (see June) back from California to the Reno Airport caught this fire above left. Later that evening our neighbor called and had us look out our valley and were burning too! The Reno fire was caused by a car chase resulting in a crash and fire which didn't take long to get big. Our fire's cause is still unknown, but it started by Pyramid Highway so somebody probably was stupid there also. Click on pic for more. | ||
