(October 16th, 2023) Been wanting to do this for years and since Kathy was returning from Newcastle, CA, I knew I could get a ride back. Even though the trailhead was half a mile from me as the crow flies, I had to make a 3 and a half mile hike out of my way to get across the Truckee River. Learned alot about the local history in the Trickee River Canyon and got plenty of exercise. Click on photo for pictures.

(October 12th, 2023) Never made it to the top players card level in any casino until now! She now gets all the perks of the big time gamblers here at Gold Ranch. Mike and Annie came up for the weekend also, but Kathy had to rush to Newcastle as Daisy had a medical issue and she helped out in getting her well. Click on photo for pictures.

(October 1st, 2023) Walked to Boomtown last Friday and as I came to the Truckee River a gang of local deer thugs crossed the highway right in front of me. I didn't get jumped by them and boy can they jump! Click on photo for video.
