EDWARD MALONE-ELIZABETH HARVEY CHILDREN
HENRY PATRICK - Born May 30, 1919 in Cranston, Rhode Island Son of Edward A. and Elizabeth (Harvey) Malone. "Pat" was a
Catholic priest serving at one time Notre Dame at the same time that his brother Donald was attending. He was seduced away from priesthood and ended up marrying Virginia Lee and becoming a Father of two
children. He died July 22nd, 1994 in Rocklin, CA.
EDWARD ABNER - Born December 31, 1920 in Cranston, Rhode Island Son of Edward A. and Elizabeth (Harvey) Malone. "Bud"as he was called by
family and friends served in Navy during WW2 and spent most of his later life as a bartender. Bud went through a couple of marriages and had 3 chidren. He died February 18, 1992 in Sacramento, CA.
DONALD THOMAS - Born May 28, 1928 in Cranston, Rhode Island.
He grew up in the shadows of the textile industry living in old company housing at 25 Maple Street in Cranston. In the 1930 census, Don shows up at 2 years old and they are living at 144 Daniel Street in Cranston with Donald's Father driving a taxi. 10 years later in the 1940 census they are now living in company housing with 3 members of the family working in the mills. During the war, Don's Father Ed had a sandwich cart at the ship yards where Don would help out occasionaly. There were two Sisters, Eileen and Peg that frequented the cart and Don took a fancy to Peg. Soon they started dating. Don graduated from La Salle Academy in 1946 and applied for Notre Dame University and was accepted. While attending he kept up a long distance romance with Peggy who was very popular on the dance floor back home, which caused some jealousy as you can see from this letter sent from Don. On August 13th, 1949 he married Margaret (Peg) Malone in Edgewood, RI. They returned to Notre Dame so Don could complete his degree. Peg became pregnant and when the baby came due, Don had a class he could not be absent from. So in order to be there for the birth, his brother-in-law Bill sat in on the class and when roll call came, he said "Here" to the name Don Malone! Of course his friends in the class were okay with it when they found out the reason for the absense. The 1950 census shows them living in South Bend, Indiana where he had graduated from Notre Dame but was now working in the auto industry. Peg always wanted to move to California and not sure if Don promised her but they soon moved to California where Don got a job with Aerojet in Pasadena. His parents, and a couple of Peg'a siblings soon followed them out there. He was promoted to division quality control manager for Aerojet General Corp. in Sacramento where he was part of the project to send man to the moon. In fact Peg and Don entertained a couple of the astronauts at there home after they had toured the plant during the day. Don began attending University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law and he passed the BAR December 22nd, 1967. While studying for the BAR, Don sent the family back East for the Summer to enable him to have peace and quiet. He was a partner in the law firm Malone and Stroud. . A resident of Rancho Cordova, he was a member of the California Bar Association, the Sacramento County Bar Association, American Judicature Society and the Legal Aid Society. He was an officer of the Notre Dame Alumni Association. They had 8 children Donald, Pat, Brian, Kevin, Eileen (Candy), Jeff, Kathy (me) and Ann. Donald passed away on September 3rd, 1971 in the hospital with a heart ailment that would be easily detected and remedied today.
JOSEPH GERARD - Born August 4, 1941 in Cranston, Rhode Island Son of Edward A. and Elizabeth (Harvey) Malone. He had a great childhood early
on just being an average kid until his Mother turned him in for marijuana and caused the destruction of his life. In the early 1960's the drug was very much illegal and Joe thought if he claimed that he was "crazy", he could avoid
prison time. The problem was they treated "crazy" with shock therapy and that is ultimatley what destroyed him. Very sad life after that. Died October 1st, 2006 largely forgotten by the rest of the family.

LEO DOOLEY-MARION KENNEALLY CHILDREN
EILEEN FRANCIS  - Born February 28, 1920, the oldest of 8 kids was a war worker during World War 2 along with her sister Peggy. She married Donald Drottz on February 28, 1958. They had no children together. Donald was an auto body man in Van Nuys, CA and was well known to some of Hollywood's stars. They retired back to Rhode Island living in Warwick close to her brother Bill. Eileen was a frequent caller to the Rush Limbaugh radio show and being on opposite sides of the politcal spectrum, Rush put her on the air most of the time. where Donald passed away first on November 25th, 1996 and Eileen living another 9 years before passing on January 10th, 2003.
JOHN JOSEPH - Born March 10, 1922 in Providence son of Leo P. and Marion V. (Kenneally) Dooley.
He served in the 1st Marine Division during WWII and landed in the first wave at Pelilu as a squad leader, receiving both battle citations and the Purple Heart. He recovered from his wounds in
time to take part in the successful battle for Okinawa. John worked in the construction industry for more than fifty years, taking part in the erection of many landmark buildings throughout the
state of Rhode Island. He played football with the Swan Club in Providence and boxed as a heavy weight at the Rhode Island Auditorium in Providence after WWII. He was the oldest living member
of the Providence YMCA. Lou Gorman, former general manager of the Boston Red Sox and outstanding quarterback for the Swan Club, once described Red as 'the greatest football player in the state.'
He was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan; Jack was a member of the Pawtuxet Athletic Club.
MARGARET ELIZABETH - Born November 1, 1924 daughter of Leo P. and Marion V. (Kenneally) Dooley.
WILLIAM JAMES - Born december 23, 1926 in Cranston, he was the fourth of the eight children of the late Leo P. and Marion V. (Kenneally) Dooley, and the last to be born at home. William was an Army veteran of WWII, serving in Europe with the 88th Division Blue Devils. He was employed by the New England Telephone Company for thirty-eight years before retiring. In addition to serving on the Warwick Board of Canvassers and the Warwick Housing Authority, he was a former chairman of the Ward 1 Democratic Committee. He was a member of the Friendly sons of St. Patrick and a long- time member of the Pawtuxet Athletic Club. He will long be remembered as one of the most loyal Red Sox fans, with an uncanny memory for specific games, players and statistics. He was a communicant of Saint Peter Church for over fifty years.
LEO PATRICK - Born March 31, 1929 After graduating from Cranston High School in 1947, he joined the U.S. Army and participated in the Inchon invasion in Korea in 1950. When the Chinese joined the North Koreans, his unit was trapped and had to be evacuated from Pusan. His family learned about the furious fighting from other sources because Bob never discussed the experiences that earned him a Korean service medal with two bronze service stars. “The real heroes are buried there,” he would respond to any questions about his Korean experiences.
He was employed at Narragansett Electric Company for 40 years, retiring in 1993. There, he met Nancy Donahue, and they were married for 36 years before her death in 2007. He was a communicant of Saint Jude’s Church in Lincoln for almost fifty years. He was a frequent volunteer at Saint Jude’s, teaching Catechism lessons, and served on a committee that counts the weekly church offering. Bob was a huge New England Sports fan and loved watching the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins.
