(September 23rd, 2024) Those two halfs belong to Jamie and Jenna Rudolph. Jamie flew in on the 13th and Kathy, him and I went to dinner at Maria's and the just hung around the campsite visiting and drinking a little beer. Saturday we dropped him off at the airport where he met his friend Andy, rented a car then headed up to Grandma Joan's Tahoe cabin where they spent the week repairing the deck. Yesterday Jenna flew in and cousin Melody drove over from Clear Lake and we all met at Chili's for dinner, then back here at Gold Ranch for a little gambling and drinking. Melody doesn't really drink so she was the DD to get them back to the Peppermill where they are staying. Today we picked them up and drove out to Pyramid Lake which Jenna has never seen before we went to a healthy Jimboy lunch! Click on photo for more pictures!

(September 8th, 2024) We have been looking for a home in the Carson City area and Aunt Jan, Bob and Sina joined us for a tour of them before we headed up to Virginia City for lunch and to celebrate Sina's birthday. Got a call this morning from Steve Brautigam saying "have you heard about the fire"? Seems the Davis Fire started last night shutting down 395 and power to 10,000 people. Luckily they have a Generac! Sean Browna and family went to the Sawyer Brown concert in Grass Valley and their son Sawyer had a sign saying "My name is Sawyer Brown"! They took him on stage after the very first song. Mason's going to follow in his Dad's footsteps I think and is ready to start basketball season. I have been stressing on getting new tires for the motorhome (about $5,000.00) but unbeknownst to me, Kathy and Ben have been planning a retirement gift and boy did they come through! (September 2nd, 2024) Nephew Patrick Shaeffer, his wife Mary and their two friends Lance and Janet are taking sort of a West Coast wine tour this week.
